PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method by which a mirror part of an optical waveguide is formed in a simple manner.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an optical waveguide includes: a step of forming, in a lower clad layer, a core groove and a V groove for a slant mirror part by using a first mold that has a projection corresponding to the core groove and a projection corresponding to the slant mirror part, which abuts on at least one end of the core-groove-corresponding projection and which extends orthogonally to it, and by pressurizing a pre-hardened clad layer formed on a substrate to harden the clad layer as is; a step of releasing the first mold from the lower clad layer and infusing/filling a core material into the core groove and the V groove for the slant mirror part; and a step of hardening the core material in the core groove, after removing the core material from the V groove by using a second mold that has only a projection having the same shape as the projection corresponding to the slant mirror part in the first mold, and by pressing the second mold in such a manner that the projection of the second mold abuts on the V groove of the lower clad layer where the core material is filled in the core groove and the V groove for the slant mirror. |
