PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the indoor unit of an air conditioner improved in safety and service performance in service work by making a front panel not to be easily demounted by a user.SOLUTION: This indoor unit of the air conditioner includes a frame 1, an air distributing device 2, a power source section 10, a front frame 4 attachable and detachable to a front face of the frame 1, and the front panel 6 attachably and detachably mounted on a front face of the front frame 4 through an attaching/detaching sliding section 7. As the attaching/detaching sliding section 7 is provided with a panel fixing tool 8 for disenabling the attaching/detaching of the front panel 6, and the panel fixing tool 8 includes a special fixing component 9 to be fixed to the front frame 4, the user cannot easily demount the front panel 6, and the power source section 10 can be loaded on the front panel 6. In the service work, as a work for demounting the front frame 4 is performed after the front panel 6 is demounted by demounting the special fixing component 9 and demounting the panel fixing tool 8, mistake in work procedure can be prevented and the safety and service performance can be improved. |
