PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which can emit light having good luminance without causing a reduction in optical output by suppressing shielding and absorption of light emitted from the LED toward the outside, and to provide a method for manufacturing the light emitting device.SOLUTION: The light emitting device 100 includes: a substrate 101; an LED chip 103 provided on the front surface of the substrate 101; and a printed resistor element 104 connected in parallel with the LED chip 103, the printed resistor element 104 being provided to at least one of regions on the front surface of the substrate 101, on the back surface of the substrate, and inside the substrate. |
