PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective composition for prevention and treatment of microorganism mediated epithelial diseases (for example, digestive tract induced sepsis) and/or symptoms relating to the diseases, and a method accomplishing the advantages without causing probability of further complications due to serious changes of physiological functions of the treated living subjects.SOLUTION: Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is applied for a production of an agent reducing the death score of animals under abnormal conditions including epithelial surface accompanied with a risk of occurrence of the microorganism mediated diseases by an administration of an effective amount of polyethylene glycol (PEG) to animals requiring the same, wherein PEG having at least average molecular weight of 15,000 dalton is provided for the application. |
