FLAME-RETARDANT THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE

Provided is a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition which is obtained by incorporating a phosphinic acid salt compound and a compound having a specific structure into a thermoplastic resin and which retains a high degree of flame retardancy and, despite this, is significantly reduced in corrosiveness to metals. Also provided is a molded article which has greatly reduced corrosiveness to metals and which is useful as a mechanical machine part, an electric/electronic component, or an automotive part. The flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition and the molded article comprise (A) 65-99 wt.% thermoplastic resin, (B) 1-35 wt.% at least one phosphinic acid salt compound selected from phosphinic acid salts, diphosphinic acid salts, polymers of phosphinic acid salts, and polymers of diphosphinic acid salts, and (C) 0.001-0.70 wt.% compound having a specific structure.
