A motor assembly for a steam vacuum cleaner is provided to allow for independent flow of cool air from a cooling air inlet and hot air from a cooling air outlet by providing a packing between a motor driving unit and a transparent motor cooling casing. A motor assembly for a steam vacuum cleaner comprises a wet type motor(810), a motor cooling casing(850), and a packing. The wet type motor includes a motor driving unit(811) and an impeller unit(813). The impeller unit sucks air in the direction of a rotary shaft transmitting power of the motor driving unit. The motor cooling casing includes a cooling air inlet(853) and a cooling air outlet(855). Air is sucked through the cooling air inlet by a cooling fan(815) of the motor driving unit. Heated air is exhausted through the cooling air outlet. The packing is interposed between the motor driving unit and the motor cooling casing.
