PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter allowing a user to easily and securely confirm a rotating state of a front end portion.SOLUTION: The front end portion of the catheter 10 with a built-in cylindrical marker 100 which does not transmit electromagnetic waves such as X rays is rotated and bent by the operation of a prescribed mechanism in a rear end portion at hand. As a different-shaped projection 110 asymmetrical to the center line in the axial direction is disposed in at least one of the front edge and rear edge of the marker 100 in the axial direction, the rotating state of the front end of the catheter 10 can be confirmed by an X-ray imaging apparatus, etc. In this way, the rotating state of the front end portion can be securely confirmed even if the slender catheter 10 is twisted and the rotation of the rear end portion does not completely synchronize with the rotation of the front end portion. |
