PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not a relay for opening/closing a power feeding route from an external power supply to a storage device is welded without the necessity of applying a voltage of the external power supply to the relay.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle 1 comprises the storage device 10, an inverter 20 for driving a rotating electrical machine 30 for running on the power of the storage device 10, a charging device 40 for charging the storage device 10 on the power of the external power supply 2 which includes relays 41, 42 for opening/closing the power feeding route from the external power supply 2 to the storage device 10 so that a route between the storage device 10 and the inverter 20 may not be interrupted, and a control device 50 that detects the voltage on the external power supply 2 side of the relays 41, 42 while controlling the relays 41, 42 in an open state during the switching operation of the inverter 20, and determines whether or not the relays 41, 42 are welded based on the detection results. |
