PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound and a method for targeting a radionuclide-based contrast medium towards cells having receptors for a vitamin.SOLUTION: The compound of the formula as the targeting ligand for the contrast medium is provided. In formula, V is a vitamin that is a substrate for receptor-mediated transmembrane transport in vivo, or a vitamin receptor-binding derivative or analog thereof; L is a bivalent linker; R is an amino acid side chain represented by formula: HNCHRCOOH; M is a cation of a radionuclide; n is 1 or 0; K is 1 or 0. The compound is a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier; and the vitamin-based compound is to be used for the diagnostic imaging of targeted cells.
