PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a specimen container for a centrifugal separator in which a specimen quantity for centrifugal separation at a time is increased while suppressing increase in diameter and weight of a rotor.SOLUTION: The specimen container 50 includes a barrel part 51 for housing a specimen and a cap part 52 that is mountable on the barrel part 51. The barrel part 51 has a substantially triangular external shape when viewed from the above, and has a circular opening 51A in the upper part, with the cap part 52 configured to be attachably/detachably screwed. The external form of the barrel part is set so as to have equidistance from the center of the first vertex 55A to the center of the second vertex 55B and from the first vertex 55A to the third vertex 55C. The angle formed by the tangents of the two sides holding the first vertex in-between is 60°, wherein each vertex when viewed from the above is formed with a first radius of curvature (R1), and wherein the side between respective vertices is configured to have a circular arc having a second radius of curvature (R2) gently curved toward the outer side when viewed from the above. |
