USE OF INTRAVENOUS CONTRAST MEDIUM FOR PROJECTIVE MAMMOGRAPHY AND APPARATUS FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the use of an intravenous contrast medium for a projective mammography and the new use apparatus for the projective mammography.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the use of the intravenous contrast medium for the projective mammography and the new apparatus for projective mammography. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of the intravenous contrast medium for production of a diagnostic agent for the projective mammography. An administration of an auxiliary intravenous contrast medium accomplishes a sensitivity comparable to the latest method such as a magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) by the projective mammography for a vast number of various applications avoiding expenses for MRT. The new method for the use can be carried out without particular burden to the patient obtaining (a) a marked improvement in verifying sensitivity for a focal lesion in the chest and (b) auxiliary information concerning the characters of verified lesion in advance.
