PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool EGR gas from an EGR device 91 before the gas is supplied to an intake manifold 73 in an engine 70 comprising the intake manifold 73 at one side parallel to a crank axis line (a), an exhaust manifold 71 at the other side in a cylinder head 72, and an EGR device 91.SOLUTION: A ventilation passage 161 is provided between an EGR valve member 96 disposed above an intake manifold 73 and a head cover 160 on a cylinder head 72 for the passage of a cooling wind from a cooling fan 76. The outlet side of a reflux conduit 95 extending from an exhaust manifold 71 is offset with respect to the EGR valve member 96 so that it is disposed closer to the ventilation passage 161 in a plan view. The outlet side of the reflux conduit 95 and the EGR gas intake side of the EGR valve member 96 are interlocked by an intermediate joint 162. |
