PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gathering machine which can correctly read a bar code in an attached printed matter, even when a booklet to be formed includes a printed matter composed of a printed matter body and the attached printed matter stuck thereon, in which bar codes different from each other are formed.SOLUTION: When a test paper 22 (attached printed matter) is stuck on a signature 21 (printed matter) to be gathered in forming a booklet of a teaching material for learning, a bar code 62 of the test paper 22 is arranged so as to shifting a position thereof in the direction perpendicular to the feeding direction 90 concerning a bar code 61 of the signature 21 in an irradiation range 72 of a bar code reader 7 so that the bar codes 61, 62 may not overlap each other. Further, the irradiation range 72 is limited by disposing a light shielding plate 73 on the bar code reader 7 to prevent seeing-through from the test paper 22 and to shield an irradiation light 71 to the bar code 61 of the exposed signature 21. |
