PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher for appropriately performing washing according to dirt of washed objects over a long period by preventing an optical sensor from being short-lived.SOLUTION: A storage part for storing washing water is formed at the lower part of a cleaning tank 2 for housing materials to be washed. A plurality of washing nozzles 3, 4, 7, and 5 are provided inside the cleaning tank 2. The respective washing nozzles 3, 4, 7, and 5 are successively supplied with washing water stored in the storage part. A turbidity detection part 60 is provided at a position higher than the highest level of the washing water storable in the storage part inside the cleaning tank 2. The turbidity detection part 60 detects the turbidity of washing water supplied with one washing nozzles 5 out of the plurality of washing nozzles 3, 4, 7, and 5. On the basis of the turbidity of the washing water detected, a period during which the washing nozzle 5 is supplied with the washing water is determined and, after determination, the turbidity detection part is operated only for the period in which the washing nozzle 5 is supplied with washing water. |
