PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having sipes formed on a tread surface, which improves on-ice braking performance of the tire.SOLUTION: A land section 3 formed on a tread surface 1 has a closed sipe 5 comprising at least three cuts 4 which extend in the radial direction centering an imaginary axis 2 extending in the depth direction of the land section 3 and terminate within the land section 3. An expanded width section 6, which locally expands the width of the cut, is formed at least one portion in the middle zone of each cut 4 ranging from the imaginary axis 2 to the termination end 4z. |
