Disclosed is an enzyme composition which causes reduction in glucose in the stomach and/or intestine, through an enzymatic reaction, to thereby reduce calorie intake when administered to a living organism, and which converts glucose into gluconic acid. Specifically disclosed is an enzyme composition comprising at least one oxidoredcutase selected from among flavin adenine dinucleotide-binding glucose dehydrogenase, glucose oxidase, NAD(P)-dependent glucose dehydrogenase and pyroloquinoline quinone-dependent glucose dehydrogenase, characterized by, when administered to a living organism, capable of reducing glucose in the stomach and/or intestine. Also disclosed are a digestive enzyme preparation, a supplement and a starting material for health foods, each containing the aforesaid enzyme composition. |
