The product has an actuating element, and a foil layer with a chromophoric layer (4'). A layer made of hardenable material is arranged over the chromophoric layer for forming a transparent cover layer (6). The cover layer is arranged on a side of the foil layer turned away from a carrier element (2). The foil layer has an electrically conductive layer (5') made of plastic material and providing the actuating element. The cover layer is made of material hardenable by photonic or electronic radiation energy. The plastic material includes electrically conductive particles selected from a group including metal, graphite and/or ceramic particles. An independent claim is also included for a method for providing an actuating unit for an electrically actuatable device.
