<p>Armor systems for fixed and mobile targets are provided. The armor systems are effective against sustained attacks from projectiles, blasts, and ion beams and offer graceful degradation. The armor systems employ very strong magnetic fields to deflect projectiles. The armor systems employ fence conductors situated within the magnetic field to impart a static charge to projectiles entering the magnetic field. Fence conductors are sacrificial, and can be rapidly replaced.</p> |
