PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet-embedded type rotor that prevents deterioration in efficiency by minimizing a leakage magnetic flux from the side ends of each magnet body, while preventing scattering of each salient-pole part and each magnet body which constitute the rotor (rotator), due to the centrifugal force, and to provide a rotary electric machine that uses the same. SOLUTION: The magnet-embedded type rotor in a rotary electric machine is constituted of each salient pole part which is formed in a laminate made of a magnetic body, while being provided around a core body part, and each magnet body that is embedded in a slot formed between each salient pole part and the core-body part, while defining an air gap between the salient pole parts adjacent to each other. Each intermediate plate is interposed, at respective appropriate interval between the laminates, respectively made of a magnetic body, and each fixing plate is provided at both end parts in a rotating-axis direction in the rotor so as to fix the salient pole parts and the intermediate plates by respective salient-pole-part fixing means.
