PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound reproduction device that reduces a sense of incongruity owing to an interruption of sound output even when a content stream is interrupted. SOLUTION: The sound reproduction device is provided with a data input monitoring part for monitoring input of sound data, a buffer for temporarily holding the sound data, a reproduction part for reproducing the sound data, a buffer control part for reading out the sound data held by the buffer so as to output them to the reproduction part, and a silence detection part for detecting sound data having a silent part from in the sound data held by the buffer. When the data input monitoring part detects an input interruption of the sound data, the silence detection part detects the sound data having the silent part from in the sound data held by the buffer, and the buffer control part prevents the detected sound data having the silent part and the sound data continuous to them from being outputted to the reproduction part.
