Small volume phase change material capsule (I) comprises at least one phase change material and a film packaging including 0.2-50 ml volume of the phase change material, where the film packaging is at the end of a sealed film tube or its portion and the film has a wall thickness of 20-400 mu m. Independent claims are included for: (1) producing (I) comprising providing a film tube sealed at its end, filling the film tube with the phase change material to obtain a filling unit, sealing the filling unit by pressing and welding, and separating the sealed filling unit to give (I); and (2) a latent heat accumulator comprising many number of (I).
