PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an information processing apparatus from the outside if the apparatus is lost or stolen, by bringing a radio communication unit built in the information processing apparatus to an incoming information receivable state at all the time regardless of whether power supply to a main body of the information processing apparatus is turned on/off. SOLUTION: A portable mobile-type information processing apparatus 30 includes a man body 300 to which power supply is turned on/off by operating a main switch, and a radio communication unit 326 to which information can be incoming via a wireless public communication line. The radio communication unit 326 is maintained in a state enabled to receive a call via the wireless public communication line, regardless of whether the power supply to the main body 300 is turned on/off. A main body function control unit 328 may also be provided which controls to regulate use of a function of the main body 300 when remote control information is contained in the incoming information received by the radio communication unit 326.
