PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a rotary antenna having a strong directionality and enable intensive heating of a localized portion according to a purpose. SOLUTION: The microwave heating device comprises a magnetron 2, a waveguide 3, a heating chamber 4 of horizontal long shape, a placing table 5 to place a heating object, an antenna space 6, rotary antennas 8, 8 which are arranged at nearly same distance from the center of the heating chamber 4 in order to radiate microwave to the heating chamber 4, motors 9, 9 to drive the rotary antennas 8, 8, and a control part 10 to control rotation and stopping of the motors 9, 9. The radiation part 81 of the rotary antenna 8 has a length in longitudinal direction of 120 mm which is nearly same as the wavelength of microwave, and the length of the rotary antenna 8 on the longer side from a jointing part 82 in longitudinal direction is preferably 70 mm which is larger than 1/2 of the wavelength of the microwave and preferably equivalent to nearly 7/12 of the microwave, and the length on the shorter side from the jointing part 82 is made 50 mm which is shorter than 1/2 of the wavelength of the microwave and preferably equivalent to nearly 5/12 of the wavelength of the microwave.
