The disclosure relates to a high strength Aluminum-Zinc-Magnesium-Copper-Zirconium alloy semi-products of composition Al-Zn(8-12.5)wt%-Mg (1.2-2.0)wt%-Cu(1.4-2.2)wt%-Zr(0.10-0.18)wt% and its method of preparation. The alloy semi-product could be further processed into high strength alloy extrusions or high strength alloy thin sheets.
