<p>The method involves defining a nominal consumption mode (ME3), and defining a reduced consumption mode (ME2). Decision function permitting shifting or not from the nominal consumption mode to the reduced consumption mode during transition (D2) of the application from a processing phase to another processing phase is executed, where the decision is taken with respect a calculation load associated to the processing phases higher than maximum latency induced by shifting from one of the modes to the other mode, to guarantee maintenance of nominal functioning of the application. An independent claim is also included for a device for managing power consumed in a processor executing an application.</p> |
