<p>The engine has a core-flow channel (5), and a bypass duct (3) surrounding the core-flow channel and comprising an inner sidewall (2). The sidewall is retained against an engine lining (1). The sidewall has a straight, conically widening form that is smoothly transferred into a circular-arc transition area downstream of supports, struts and guide vanes (7). The form of the engine lining is adapted to a shape of the sidewall, and a gearbox (14) is arranged in an inner area of the engine in an area existing between the sidewall and a separating wall (4) limiting the core-flow channel.</p> |
