PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP having no display spot by preventing shaving spots of a barrier rib from occurring in manufacturing. SOLUTION: Respective column electrodes D1 are divided into the upper electrode portion D1A and the lower electrode portion D1B. On a panel face, the upper panel face P1 on which the upper electrode portions D1A are opposed to one another and the lower panel face P2 on which the lower electrode portions D1B are opposed to one another are constituted. A lateral wall 5A, or part of the lateral wall 5 is opposed and arranged at a boundary portion of the upper panel face P1 and the lower panel face P2, and at the end part where the upper electrode portion D1A and the lower electrode portion D1B are opposed to each other, protruding parts D1Aa, D1Ba are formed which are respectively protruded to the other electrode portion side.
