The blade has a cross-section profile (2) with points (3,4) at the leading(3) and trailing (4) edges. The vacuum face (6) is slightly convex, and the pressure face (13) slightly concave. At a reference plane (8) distant 5% of the length (L) from the leading edge, the radius (P) of curvature of the convex face is less than half of the length (L). The tangents (12,15) to the convex and concave faces at their intersections with the reference plane meet at an angle (T) between 5 deg. and 20 deg. The largest inscribed circle (10) is centred (M) at 23% (K) of the length from the leading edge.
