The machine (1) has a gripper system (11) with a gripper arm for transporting a tray to a workstation (3) by a transition belt (2). The gripper arm includes an upper tray support and a lower tray support, where the supports are configured for form-fit collection of the tray. The upper tray support is assignable to an upper circulating edge. The tray supports are manufactured from a flexural material and arranged at a distance to each other, where the tray supports are adjustable. The tray supports are designed as a single-piece.
