摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content measuring method of helium in a metal capable of simply and certainly measuring the amount of helium in the metal by discharging helium from a metal material by a simple apparatus and a simple process without requiring a large-scaled heating device. SOLUTION: The amount of helium contained in the metal material 1 is measured by employing a technical means wherein both of the metal material 1 and an aqueous solution 2 prepared by dissolving an acid or alkali in water are housed in a container 3, which houses both of them independently, in a non-contact state to be hermetically sealed, the container 3 is filled with a carrier gas after it is once evacuated, the metal material 1 is immersed in the aqueous solution 2 to perfectly dissolve the metal component 11 of the metal material 1 not only to collect the gaseous component 12 produced from the metal material 1 but also to ionize the gaseous component 12 and helium ions are detected by accelerating ions of the gaseous component 12 to detect the mass of helium.
