PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device, facilitating manufacture and remarkably decreasing the rate of occurrence of defective units. SOLUTION: The plasma display device is so constructed that a protective plate made of glass, and a filter having a conductive mesh on one surface of a base material and an anti-reflection layer and/or anti-glare layer are provided in order on the front of a plasma display panel body. In the plasma display device, the conductive mesh side of the filter is adhesively bonded to the protective plate, and conductive connection between the conductive mesh layer and the plasma display panel body is achieved by a conductive connecting material.
