Method and device for measuring the load of a wind energy facility

The method involves presetting an assignment code. The code assigns a characteristic value (K) for the strain of the wind energy plant (30) to each pair of variates of a wind velocity value and an acceleration value of a plant's component. A value (v') is determined to represent a measured wind velocity (v). A value (a') is determined to represent a measured acceleration (a) of the component. The code is applied to the pair of variates of the measured wind velocity value and the measured acceleration value in order to determine the characteristic value for the strain. An independent claim is included for a wind energy plant.
