A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device is provided to compare a voltage detected in each lamp with a reference voltage, thereby checking whether each lamp wrongly operates. A controller(135) generates a switching control signal for preventing high voltage output according to a signal inputted from a comparison unit(137). A switching unit switches input power according to a control signal from the controller. A high voltage generating unit(133) converts input power into alternating current of high voltage. A resonant unit(139) supplies lamp driving voltage to each lamp by converting the high voltage into a frequency suitable for driving a plurality of lamps. A plurality of wirings supplies the lamp driving voltage to the plurality of lamps. A detection unit(140) detects a lamp driving voltage supplied to each lamp through the plurality of wirings. A comparison unit compares the detected detection voltage with a reference voltage to output a detection signal of each lamp to a controller.
