PURPOSE: An elevator entrance door with a protecting device for preventing the breakaway of the door is provided to prevent the displacement of the elevator entrance door due to an external impact by simultaneously supporting the center part and lower part of the door. CONSTITUTION: An elevator entrance door(1a,1b) is opened and closed from side to side along a guide rail(3) installed on the floor of a platform. The platform is connected with a lifting passage of an elevator cage. A plate-shaped displacement protecting unit(10a,10b) is fixed to the lower part of the elevator door. The projected lower end part of the displacement protecting unit is inserted into a rail groove(4) of the guide rail.
