The present invention relates to a system and a method for performing voice communication in an HTTP-based network. According to an aspect of the present invention, the system for adaptive voice communication over HTTP comprises: a web server to issue a session ID, a conversation transmission URL, and a conversation reception URL, and respond to an HTTP request to transmit an HTTP response; and a web client to transmit the HTTP request, and transmit and receive voice information via the issued conversation transmission URL and conversation reception URL. |
