Knee prosthesis with four degrees of freedom

Knee prosthesis for implanting in a knee joint has a femoral component, a tibial component and a hinge connecting the femoral component and the tibial component. The femoral component rotates around the transverse axis passing through the center of the hinge and the center of rotation of the femoral component moves substantially along proximal-distal axis upon flexion of the knee joint.
