A composition for the oral cavity which comprises: (A) at least one kind of copper compound selected from copper gluconate, copper sulfate and hydrates of the same; (B) a betaine-type amphoteric surfactant; and (C) at least one kind of sugar alcohol selected from ethythritol, xylitol and mannitol. This composition for the oral cavity gives an actual feeling of improving periodontal disease by exerting a sufficient gum-tightening effect and, at the same time, exhibits effects of relieving an unpleasant bitterness characteristic to copper compounds and reducing irritation to the oral mucosa, thereby achieving an excellent feel in using. |
