PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member having excellent optical characteristic and wear resistance.SOLUTION: The optical member comprises a base material and an anti-reflection film on the base material. The anti-reflection film has on its surface, a porous layer. The porous layer includes silicon oxide particles and a binder. The porous layer has a refraction factor of 1.22 to 1.30. On surfaces of the silicon oxide particles and binder, alkyl-silyl groups exist.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
