PURPOSE: A substrate for a semiconductor device is provided to induce light refraction or light reflection into various angles by forming a concave-convex surface at the lateral side of a lens. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of lenses(112a, 112b) is formed on the surface of a substrate(100). A lens includes a concave part and a convex part. A concave-convex surface is formed at the lateral side of the lens. The concave-convex is continuously formed from the vertex of the lens to a contact point of the lens and the substrate. The shape of the concave-convex surface changes according to the growing condition of an epi layer which is grown on the substrate.
