The cell has a support substrate (1), and an electrically insulated layer (5) that is arranged on an electrically conductive layer (2). A current collector (3) and the electrically insulated layer are arranged in a complementary manner. The electrically conductive layer is made of transparent conductive oxide or indium tin oxide or aluminum doped titanium oxide. The electrically insulated layer is made of silicon oxide, silicon nitride or hydrogenated amorphous silicon carbide. An independent claim is also included for a method for realizing a photovoltaic cell.
