The device has a rearview camera (2) housed inside a headlight (1) of a motor vehicle. The headlight includes a part (3) projected with respect to a body of the vehicle such that a lens of the camera receives light coming from a rear side of the vehicle. The camera is mounted on a support that is adjustable by a driver of the vehicle. The lens of the camera is arranged between a transparent wall and a reflector of the headlight. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a headlight.
