The method involves detecting an engaging approach of a one-way clutch as soon as difference between engine speed (omega-m) of a vehicle and one-way clutch speed (omega-r1) is less than a preestablished threshold, to control torque (Cm) of the engine and transmissible torque by a high gear ratio coupler i.e. second ratio coupler, in clutch engaging phase. The engine speed of the vehicle is controlled so as to synchronize the engine speed with the one-way clutch speed as soon as the engaging approach is detected.
