NOVEL STREPTOMYCES ARGENTEOLUS STRAIN HAVING ACTIVITY AGANIST PLANT PATHOGENS

PURPOSE: A novel Streptomyces argenteolus with an antibacterial activity to plant pathogen is provided to effectively prevent phytophthora blight, anthrax, and root rot. CONSTITUTION: A Streptomyces argenteolus(deposit number KCTC 11525BP) has an antibacterial activity to plant pathogen. The plant pathogen is Phytophthora cactorum, Colletotrichum acutatum, Rhizoctonia solani, or Pythium ultimum. An agricultural chemical for preventing plant disease contains cells, spore, culture medium of Streptomyces argenteolus or mixture thereof as an active ingredient.
