The beam (1) has side walls (5-1, 5-2) arranged perpendicular to a flat upper face (4a) and a flat lower face (4b) of an upper steel soleplate (3a) and a lower steel soleplate (3b), respectively. The side walls are symmetrically arranged with respect to longitudinal edges (4-1, 4-2) of the faces, respectively. A steel core (2) is constituted of a band forming a nonplanar corrugated vertical wall and fixed via perforations (8-1, 8-2) alternatively formed on each side wall. An upper edge and a lower edge of the band are encased between the side walls of the soleplates, respectively.
