The backrest has a support reinforcement (1) extending parallel to a front surface. A reinforced crossbeam made of metal is connected to a lower part of the backrest. An anchorage (3) is formed by a metal wire, and comprises a bent portion provided with a concave part. The concave part is arranged for being supported on the crossbeam when force is exerted toward front on an anchoring portion (31). The anchorage comprises an end portion partially forming a loop (33) that is connected to a thinner zone (13) of the support reinforcement by a fixation body (4) e.g. metal rivet.
