PURPOSE: A lying type exercising apparatus for strengthening muscle is provided, which enables the old people or patients to do waist or leg exercise. CONSTITUTION: A lying type exercising apparatus for strengthening muscle comprises: a fixed frame(10) which is horizontally placed on the floor; a rotation frame(20) which is rotationally combined with one side of the fixed frame; a support plate member(31) which is installed in the fixed frame and is placed beneath the joint of the fixed frame and rotation frame; a driving member which is installed in the support plate member and consists of a motor and a screw member; a movable member moving along the screw member forward and backward; and a first roller member transferring the driving force of the motor to the rotation frame.
