PURPOSE: A device for displaying the horizontal situation of an aircraft is provided to enable a user to conveniently set the layout of aircraft instrument information using a touch screen method. CONSTITUTION: A device for displaying the horizontal situation of an aircraft comprises a display device(162) and a controller(161). The display device is operated using a touch screen method. The controller controls the display device. Multiple symbols, corresponding with aircraft instrument information, are displayed on the screen of the display device and can be eliminated from the screen by touching each symbol. The eliminated symbols are converted into toggle icons and are displayed.
