<p>PURPOSE: A safety apparatus of an auxiliary brush assembly for a vacuum cleaner and a vacuum cleaner using the same are provided to open an inlet by an inlet opening/closing member to stop rotation of a brush, thereby preventing injury of a user. CONSTITUTION: A safety apparatus of an auxiliary brush assembly for a vacuum cleaner(1) includes a vacuum cleaner main body(100), an auxiliary brush assembly(300), an extension pipe(310), an extension pipe fixing unit(110), and an inlet opening/closing member(322). The auxiliary brush assembly comprises a brush(301) and a turbine fan unit. The extension pipe connects the vacuum cleaner main body with the auxiliary brush assembly. The extension pipe is attached/detached to/from the extension pipe fixing unit. The inlet opening/closing member opens or closes an inlet by controlling rotation of the brush and an inlet of the extension pipe. When the auxiliary brush assembly is mounted on the vacuum cleaner main body, rotation of a brush is automatically stopped.</p> |
