PURPOSE: A resin composition is provided to prevent high transparency, low coloring property, and high thermal resistance in a cyclic olefin-based resin. CONSTITUTION: A resin composition includes a cyclic olefin resin(A) and a phenolic compound(B) with a group represented by chemical formula(2) in one molecule. In chemical formula(2), R^14a and R^14b are hydrogen atom or linear or branched C1~10 hydrocarbon group; R^15 and R^16 are independently C1~10 hydrocarbon group; and X shows a methylene group or C2~10 alkylene group.
