PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output an equivalent waveform to a divided waveform without decelerating an operating frequency from a reference frequency.SOLUTION: A waveform generator 1 includes a waveform memory 13 for storing one or more waveform data as well as a division function part 15 which operates at a reference frequency FC and duplicates and outputs waveform data read from the waveform memory 13 by a preset amount of divisions N (N: an integer of 2 or more). The division function part 15 duplicates and outputs the waveform data with quantity of N per one input waveform data, so that the period of the waveform becomes N-fold to generate waveforms of N divisions. Thus, divided waveforms can be generated without use of a divider, so that an division effect can be achieved with an operating frequency FS kept at the reference frequency FC, thereby shortening a pipeline delay PD. |
